Looking at Some of the Wonderful Benefits of Baby Massage

A baby needs a lot of attention and care especially during the first two years after she is born.  This is the time when a baby’s sense of learning is at the greatest.  Babies learn from all their different senses including through rubbing, caressing and massaging.  There are many benefits of baby massage, and if you want your baby to grow healthy and happy, you should learn some of the baby massaging techniques so that you can do it yourself at home.

One of the benefits of baby massage is that it improves your baby’s digestive systems.  It helps your baby in receiving more oxygen into her body by improving the health of her respiratory systems.  The health of a premature baby can also be improved with regular massages.  Overall, it enhances the baby’s immune system and this increases the ability of the baby in fighting any forms of infections and diseases.

Massages create a bond between the mother and the baby.  This is a great way of communicating with your baby especially when she hasn’t acquired any speech skills yet.  Your baby will definitely feel the love that you are giving her through the massages. As a matter of fact, it has been proven that baby massages can effectively reduce the occurrences of colic, bloating and issues with bowel movements as well.
